Kayla gained an interest in musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation and maximizing an individual’s...

Kayla completed a bachelor of Physiotherapy with Honors at the University of QLD in 2016. Throughout this time and her own personal experiences Kayla gained an interest in musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation and maximizing an individual’s functional capacity and has continued to research and develop her knowledge and skill in this area.

Kayla Joined the Healthcare Australia team in 2018, after relocating back to Brisbane from Melbourne where she was working in a private physiotherapy practice, running clinical exercise classes and with a variety of local sporting clubs.

Kayla’s mission is to have a positive impact and make a difference in her clients lives no matter the challenges or trauma they may have faced. Kayla relishes her role at the OPAL wellness Centre as it allows her to do just that. The Centre has an onsite rehabilitation gym and spacious private treatment rooms to meet everyone’s needs.

Outside of work Kayla is an amateur triathlete, training for long distance triathlon events around the country. A regular day will see Kayla wake up at 4am to train before attending work and transferring her energy into the pursuit of her client’s goals.

Hi, I’m Jim.

I’m a committed and enthusiastic Physiotherapist from Cudgen, NSW, a town only 15-minutes south Tweed! So, I’m a local and very familiar with the entire Tweed region (what a beautiful place to call home!).

I completed my training including ‘Bachelor of Exercise Science’ and ‘Master of Physiotherapy’ at Griffith University, Gold Coast. I began my career working full time in aged care, focusing on pain management, falls prevention and rehabilitation. After 6 months, I dropped to part time and filled the rest of my week working as a private practice and community-based physiotherapist. I have continued this mixed caseload over the past 18 months where I have gained invaluable experience treating and managing a broad array of clinical conditions.

I’m extremely excited about the HCA Wellness Centre’s as they offer opportunity to deliver enhanced person-centred care to our community. It’s all evidence based and targeted specifically at yielding functional improvements that will allow those in our community to live healthier, happier and more independent lives.

Aside from Physiotherapy, my interests mostly revolve around the ocean, particularly surfing, fishing and spearfishing. I also love adventuring, travelling and rugby league (up the Sharky’s)!

I look forward to meeting you, hearing your story and working with you to give you the best chance possible in achieving your health-related goals.

I am passionate and driven Physiotherapist from the beautiful region of the central west NSW.

I was lucky enough to study my Bachelor of Physiotherapy in Orange at Charles Sturt University. I began my career gaining extensive knowledge and experience with the private and public sectors where I work in the ICU, neurological and surgical wards.

My husband and I then moved to the beautiful Atherton tablelands in Northern Queensland where I worked in a multidisciplinary musculoskeletal Physiotherapy clinic. Being a rural practice, this provided exposure to a multitude of different Physiotherapy disciplines where I completed post graduate study in many areas. I began specialising in a range of chronic pain conditions, headaches and vestibular dysfunctions, lumbar hip and pelvic dysfunction and neurological rehabilitation.

From here my husband and I decided to explore this beautiful country of ours, travelling Australia. I locumed in many remote and metropolitan practices and my passion and experience continued to grow. My husband and I then returned to our hometown of Orange where I returned to work in a private physiotherapy practice in Orange NSW.

I am very excited to be a part of the HCA Wellness Centre at Opal Bathurst. The wellness centre is an incredible opportunity to assess any limitations you may have via evidence-based practice and work together to have you living your most functionally independent life.

I cannot wait to meet you and work together to achieve your individualised goals.
